This is a sort of remake of an older piece I had done years ago. An homage piece to Michael Golden, for an unpublished French project. The editor was in love with that piece, and each modification he'd ask on the rough would get me closer and closer to the older illustration LOL!
In the end I decided to stick to that drawing as much as possible.

I've redrawn the background from the same ref (with a better perspective grid), but I'm still not satiffied. Had I spent an hour more on it...
As it is, it's a bit cold and lifeless.

why does wolverine have only 2 claws on each hand

This is Daken (Wolverine'son) during the Dark Reign storyline where he wears the old Wolverine costume. Daken has two upper claws, and one under the wrist. the editor said it was ok to show only the two on the top.
